ALL ABOUT A KIND LIFE YOGA

I started A Kind Life Yoga in October 2021 with the intention of creating classes that welcomed all body shapes and abilities to practice yoga.

If you've felt intimidated going into a yoga studio then you're not alone! It can feel overwhelming sometimes, off-putting and even isolating, particularly if you're in a larger body or simply aren't that flexible. The good news is it doesn't have to feel like that at all!

At A Kind Life Yoga you will find a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment. You will be met exactly where you are, with the body that you're in and I will help you modify the poses to fit YOUR body not the other way around. I believe yoga is something you can practice in any body and at any age, with the right guidance.

All the classes are small, just 3 students per class, so you will get the attention you deserve as you practice. So come along and see for yourself - the first class is free!

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Natalie

Yoga has been a part of my life for decades. I have returned to yoga time and again to help me heal from periods of stress, anxiety, and depression, each time connecting with the practice a little deeper.

While navigating a particularly dark time with my mental health in late 2020, a regular yoga and meditation practice provided an anchor for life's rough seas, changing my life for the better. Now I hope to give back and share its wonderful healing and nurturing properties through A Kind Life Yoga's classes.

My goal as a yoga teacher is to share this incredible practice in an inclusive and inspiring way with anyone who wants it, regardless of their shape, size or ability.

I believe yoga poses (Asana) should fit YOUR body, not the other way around. Practicing yoga isn’t just for skinny Instagram models, or people who can touch their toes - it really is for everyone. With the right props and guidance, anyone can experience the postures of yoga (Asana), and the breathing practices (Pranayama), which together help to quiet the racing thoughts we all have and cultivate peace and even bliss (Samadhi).

Formerly a journalist writing and presenting news for radio, TV, and online, I’m now trying to live a life more in line with my values; practicing kindness to all living beings, treading lightly on this planet, and sharing the joy of yoga with the world.
