FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'VE NEVER PRACTICED YOGA BEFORE, CAN I STILL COME TO YOUR CLASS?

Of course! These classes are designed for yogis of all levels and each pose will have variations that suit all abilities.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE CLASS?

Each class begins with a meditation, to help you connect to the present moment. We then move through a gentle warm up, followed by some Sun Salutations. These are a series of poses that flow together almost like a dance. We'll build on those Sun Salutations incorporating more complex movements, whilst maintatining a connection to our breath. Then we will move on to some balancing and more challenging poses before coming down to the mat for a wind down. The class concludes with a longer meditation, and may incorporate a guided meditation, yoga nidra or a crystal singing bowl sound bath.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Anything you can move comfortably in. We will be folding and twisting the body both on and off the floor, there will be lunging and balancing. So you need something that is close fitting enough that it's not going to obstruct your movement but that you still feel comfortable in.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

Please bring a yoga mat, towel and bottle of water. Although it's a slow-moving class you might still work up a sweat!

WHERE DO I GO?

You can park on either side of the street near 44 Yangoora Crescent, just please don't block anyone's driveway.

Once parked, come up the driveway and along the right side of the carport (following the flags). The studio entrance is on your left once passed the carport. Please leave shoes outside.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?

If you have an injury, mobility concerns or a condition that might affect your practice please let me know about it before we start the class. This means I will be able to provide you with relevant adjustments and modifications for poses that might impact your injury. Alternatively, and if you don't feel comfortable doing this at the start of class, free to contact me privately ahead of the class about your injury.
